Some of you may have noticed Lucksacks poker was down for some time yesterday. We would like to apologize for the down time, however it was something beyond our control. Inclement weather from hurricane Irma caused damage to a data center in southern Florida and as a result the site was disrupted. The storm has since passed, and the site is back up. will there be a tournament for European player again?
the current times, 2 or 3 in the night are impossible to play when you have work next day.
Find enough Euro's to fill a game consistently and we'll reconsider it. :)
The problem was, Euro players would not show up to play and the games would cancel repeatedly or we had to continue reducing the minimum to start the game which means we had to reduce the payout, which means even less showed up.
Our site is overwhelmingly being visited by US players (over 90%) and our peak hours for traffic are 5-8 PM CDT. We are going to cater to the majority of players we have who do show up consistently to play at certain times and those times are reflected in our new tourney structure.
Ahh I was wondering why the earlier tournaments has been cancelled. I must agree with tzap90, the schedule right now is not feasible for Europeans.
When we have enough Euro players to fill games at later times and we have enough in post rewards to accommodate a tourney in that time slot, then we will add them back.
Until then, feel free to host your own Euro games on http://Lucksacks.com, raise the rewards with post and build up a consistent player base and show us you guys are serious about showing up to play at the times you say you will show up to play. ;)
