You Pick It Poker Series Intro: Participate, Play, Win SBD
Welcome to the new You Pick It Poker Series. Here's how it works in 4 steps:
- Pick the date and time of the tournament.
- Choose the type of poker game you want to play.
- Upvote each post to grow the prize pool and to qualify for a bonus.
- Play in the game in the Steem Poker League at lucksacks.com and win free SBD!
For each contest, there will be three official posts, starting with picking the day and time of the tournament. The next post will give five options for the type of tournament--simply vote for which type of tournament you want to play. Stay tuned early this week for the You Pick It #1. Please upvote this post to support this idea and to help grow the prize pool for You Pick It #1.

How Times and Types of Poker Tournaments are Decided
The posts letting you vote for the day and time of the tournament and the type of poker tournament will be decided by voting in the comment section based on 5 available options. The winner will be determined by the number of votes for a choice multiplied by the payout of that comment. For example, if there are 7 votes and a total post payout of $1 (7 x 1 = 7), this option would be chosen over another with 3 votes with a total post payout of $2 (3 x 2 = 6).
Post Earnings Breakdown
The three official posts (time and day voting, type of tournament voting, official announcement post, any recap posts in this series will not go towards prize pools) will all be counted towards the prize pool in the following way. Liquid earnings from "You Pick It" related posts (both the article and the upvoted comments) will be distributed in the following manner:
- 50% will go to the tournament pool
- 15% will be directly donated to the SPL
- 10% will go into a player bonus prize pool (details below)
The remaining earnings will be saved to pay taxes or increase steem power, meaning my only direct benefit in managing this series will come from earned steem power. I am running this tournament to help the amazing SPL community and to give us more fun chances to win SBD on the site. I appreciate your support of this idea and hope to see you at the table!
Player Bonus Prize Pool
Every player that upvotes each of the 3 official contest posts (day and time, type of poker tourney, official announcement post) will qualify for the bonus prize pool. The entire prize pool will go to the highest finishing player who upvotes each of the 3 official posts at 100%. So if the first place finisher in You Pick It #1 only upvotes two articles, then the runner-up, as long as they upvoted each of the posts at 100%, will win the pool.

Yeah! I agree. Crazy hand I got knocked out on today. Had top set with QQ against AK who hit the str8.
Tough to get away from that. I lost two different 65 35s in good spots but that’s poker !
