LIFE WITH POKEMON GO

in #pokemon8 years ago

I believe everyone now knows about the new application called Pokemon Go. People gathered outside places with no evident reason and constantly looking at their smartphones.

Some will call them no-lifers or geeks.

But the truth is they are just hunting Pokemons.

For me and my generation this is a dream coming true. I grew up with this staff. Ash Ketchum from Pallet town travelling with his friend and pet Picachu. Fighting battles and catching pokemons to become the best pokemon trainer in the world.

And now Nintendo gave us the opportunity once again through our smartphones to become Pokemon trainers in real life.

You go to work and you have a bad day? You open Pokemon go and a wild zubat appeared.

You are walking in the streets and you are bored? You can catch a wild Persian for a change or hatch an egg.

You feel lonely? Take a walk to the nearest Pokestop and meet another trainer. Lures at Pokestops have also a great impact on gathering a lot of people around them.

And if you want to be the best of the best you can go to a poke gym and claim it for your team!

My opinion is that this is a great game. It is a great way to pass your time, helps lonely people to interact with others and gives us the elders the chance to remember our childhood. The only bad thing is that some people are trying to take advantage of it either by trying to steal children’s smartphones, trade rare Pokemon for profit or infecting some versions of the game with malware.

It is just a game! Have fun and stop ruining what makes other people happy! Enjoy it if you are not doing it already!

P.S. Pokemon Go’s servers suck :P

When you see a 60 year old roaming around outside playing a game, it's clear Nintendo has found its magic again.

I believe that the true challenge for Nintendo as a company is to keep the trend going and monetize all this.
