Regarding Pokemon Sword and Shield

Hearing the announcement of the generation 8 Pokemon games was big news to me. However, the recent Nintendo Treehouse announcement ruined my hype for these games.

These games apparently started development as far back as X and Y, so the games were originally designed to release on the 3DS. This explains the subpar graphics that we saw in the trailers and gameplay footage.

really grinds my gears.
Even though Gamefreak said that the games were going to take full advantage of the Switch's technical capabilities, the graphics, animations, and lack of pokemon say otherwise.
Gamefreak is going to be leaving out a number of pokemon in these games and even implied that they might do it again.

Over 5 years in development and we get this low quality trash? Gamefreak, I expect better of you.
Genius Sonority did their job better than them with Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness on the Gamecube, and their team was/is significantly smaller. I am deeply disappointed by their lack of effort, despite being given over 5 years to develop them. Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee had significantly superior modeling, animation, and overall graphics than Sword and Shield.
Let's not get started on the missing Z-moves, mega evolution, primal reversion, and ultra burst mechanics.
