Travel and Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go have a big travel component. The central component of the spirit of the original game was a Pokémon trainer must travel from place to place catching Pokémon and battling other trainers. So when the mobile game was launched there was obviously high hope. Now the players get to travel “real world” and experience the game in real life with friends and family.

As I write this post, I am traveling with my family to San Francisco, California over Christmas. We chose this city as not only it is our favorite city to travel but it is also one of the best city to play Pokémon Go; perhaps just after Tokyo. Above is a Sneasle that I was catching at Golden Gate Bridge today. It was an wonderful day and the ice type event that is currently going on, making rare Pokémon like Sneasle spawning all over.

Here is a Delibird; which is also an event Pokémon ; spawned at Ghirardelli Square. It is a joy to play Pokémon Go at San Francisco. People walk here; unlike most other American city (where people mostly drive). Most stops are lured; people always playing the game; and above all Niantic, the company behind the game is from here!

Earlier today I started the day catching a Seviper at Lombard Street and finished the day catching that Delibird at Ghirardelli Square. Nice relaxing day when I walked 15 km again!
