That is a macro photo of a strain called "Twista" that I grew. Cannabis, often referred to by its street name marijuana. (Crazy how legislation uses the street name instead of the real name of the plant.)
This was grown using hydroponics, deep water culture.
Every strain I've grown for over a decade has produced higher trichome density than the same genetics in other gardens. I've spent the last 6 years figuring out why and the last 2 years writing a book about it. :)
