Narrative Poetry: The Greedy Merchant
with a penchant for cheating.
His goods are overpriced
as if selling a prize.
He cheats people left and right,
not doing what was right.
The people despises him
but there's nothing they could do.
by thieves hiding in the bushes!
They stole everything,
leaving him with nothing.
He was in despair...
His life in disrepair...
He cried to the heavens
like a lunatic raving!
The people looked at him with contempt!
They laugh at his back!
He walk not looking back...
When he went back to his house,
he was mortified!
His house no longer his,
the bank had taken the place...
He is left with nothing but his clothes.
Soon the merchant turned to begging,
but the people are not so forgiving.
No one gave him anything.
He had no food and became thin.
His vision turn blurry,
then he saw a little girl in a hurry.
She handed it to him, the only one she had.
His eyes became teary.
The world is not yet dreary.
His world became bright,
bathing in unending light.
The greedy merchant is ashamed,
so are the everyone around him.
but she shows kindness to others.
Her heart is pure and bigger,
than the people around her.
They decided to give the man a chance,
and see if he will truly change.
With their help he stand again.
He rose quickly with his acumen.
greed no longer came.
Greedy merchant he is no more.
He is now helping the poor.
His life had truly turn,
no longer blinded by gain.
He found his purpose and decided
to raise the little girl like a daughter.

Narrative Poetry
Narrative poetry is a form of poetry that tells a story, often making the voices of a narrator and characters as well; the entire story is usually written in metered verse. Narrative poems do not need rhyme. The poems that make up this genre may be short or long, and the story it relates to may be complex. It is normally dramatic, with objectives, diverse and meter. Narrative poems include epics, ballads, idylls, and lays. - Wikipedia
Afterwords
Another story. This time with lots of life lessons and morals. In this story I focused more on character development rather than the story itself. Greed, hate, loss, grief, and redemption. I tried to express all of these negative and positive emotions, and somehow manages to do it (patting myself on the back).
Thanks again for reading. I wish everyone a pleasant day.
My regards gentleman, I hope someday to reach your level so impeccable in the expression of such fine art in writing
Thank you
