MELANIN; THE SAVOUR OF BEAUTY
Melanin is the word for an alluring pearl,
When she threads the earth,
It shakes to its root and
the forest make a swift vibrations.
Dark, bold and beautiful is her emblem,
Strong radiant and full of life is her attitude,
Strength and honor is her clothing,
Her body shines radiantly in the western sun.
Her body swiftly and gracefully moves to the beat of the drum,
Her beauty surpasses all;
And a rare gem to behold,
The young men watch her in awe,
Dress and adorned with royal coral,
As she shakes her body to the rhythm of the bata drum.
Men miss their step for they are entranced by her beauty,
Her footsteps cause their heart to skip,
Our melanin goddess is here,
She is a melanin goddess and she shines radiantly,
A pride to all women,
a beauty maiden,
Full of love and warmth,
A beauty appealing to all.
