Poetrydice - Week #30 - Wake up in flames

Little David got up at midnight, got out of his bed, drowned by a dense smoke that concentrated on those four walls, and thus counting his steps to get to his parents' room. When he tried to open the door he felt his hand ignite, which caused him great pain, the handle burned, his face became sad, his heart quickened, and he said to himself: "I try not to be afraid, but at the same time I'm also trying to breathe." With the other hand he held himself up and peered through the lock and saw his mother's disoriented shadow pass by, he called her, she reacted, and with a loud bang opened the bedroom door, and together they walked quickly down the stairs to the outside of the house. Flames are seen through the kitchen windows and also to his father, from outside they shouted for him to come out, but he did not react to the screams, it was as if an invisible dome prevented them from penetrating into the house. The boy says to his mother: "This plan will be the best plan for everyone, just wait and see," He wrote a bubble speech on the smoked glass because of the change in temperature, so that it could be read, as well as an arrow indicating the way forward to escape from there. Everything was so quiet that the buzzing of a bee on top of a tower could be heard, and what happened presaged a death, that not even throwing a die at the destination could be attracted, as would a magnet, salvation. He climbed to the top of the apple tree to ask for help; but they only obtained the last image of their home consumed by the flames, and next to it the body of their beloved father.
