My Shadow

My shadow casts upon the ground,

And there he lands without a sound.

Forever attached, our soles are bound,

My shadow looks up, when I look down.


Wherever I go, he's there with me,

No emptiness here, that I can see.

Forever affixed under my feet,

I'm never alone, 'cause I'm with me.


He hides away when light is dark,

But flip a switch, he's never far.

So this to you I must impart,

No emptiness here, in my own heart!
