Hello everyone this is my entry for @terrycraft poetry contest with the theme: Heroes
The unforgetable ones are tadpoles with a lion heart.
armed with only voices yet faced the grotesque hands of slavery.
Under the freezing face of apartheid, still spoke faintly with a voice of bravery.
To embrace the kleptomanic hand of death.
The unforgetable ones, are the slain, in the field of battle.
gave it all in sacrifice, howbeit butchered as cattle.
They are knight, victorious for us, yet wore no shield.
In the conquest of war, with their blood victory was sealed.
The unforgettable ones are the ones whose faces are etched into history.
The spirits of heavens who adorn the wall of encyclopedia.
the lambs in body yet kings and queens of bravery.
Forever existing, through eternity in soul and spirit.
