Steemitpoetrycontest #10 : The Ten Commandments.
Despise the swindler and do not steal
happy is he whose path has been straightened.
For I’ve seen a man with his hands cut off:
He took what he lacked. What he had was taken.
Do not murder, for a man’s blood cries
from the ground after he dies.
The shedder of blood finds his spilled,
as one who kills in time is killed.
Fear your God but don’t fear people,
be free in your worship, that is, and brave.
For if you’re not devout in your service,
you will be a slave to slaves.
