La mesa está servida
palabra por palabra;
sin otra forma que la vida,
justo cuando llega entre las horas.
sobre el libro del horizonte.
Dibujando el milagro de estos días
que esbozan su esperanza
en la mesa ya servida.
en la taza
donde el agua rompe en marejada,
espumante vida que reclama
nuevos días.
en las paredes y el grito
de un pueblo que resuena
en la palabra más dulce
de todas: libertad.
The table is served
word for word;
with no other form than life,
just when it comes in between hours.
about the book of the horizon.
Drawing the miracle of these days
who outline their hope
on the table already served.
in the cup
where the water breaks into swell,
sparkling life that claims new days.
on the walls and the scream
of a people that resonates
in the sweetest word
of all: freedom.
