Sibuyan Island
One mango, one fire
spill morning’s nectar
down my browned arm
Sticky and free -
These blue plains
wedded,
still;
I bathe in canopy

The two suns thing. You so consistently and effortlessly recast ordinary things. It makes you a natural poet. The structure of language is only ornamentation for poetry. Its core is what you do naturally, refresh the world by seeing even the simplest things in new ways. It's a gift that creates value in everyday life even when it's sad, like collarbone lakes.

Nice. The tropical imagery makes me miss living in Hawaii. I was too young to enjoy it, sadly.

Yeah but I was a kid then so I really couldn't get around. It was Oahu. That is where the base was.
Big blue, flat, sea level water from coast to coast & golden suns gifting freckles to the beautiful people below 😊
