Beak of God (original poetry)
Beak of God
at ocean’s edge
stirs the floating leaves,
tiny boats of fishermen
plucked from brine
by the stalking
beak of god -
watching,
this trifle moment
of fate
as clouds billow into
steal wool,
the sky a marbled slate

I really like the close association of floating leaves and boats and between the bird and a god. It creates a nice microcosm effect like a description of the world on a small scale.
Thank you! The poem is about forces of nature that act on us inconspicuously and direct our fate. I guess it is about the "unseen" world and the unassuming power of that which seems most benign.
A bit late to vote on it, but I like this quite well.
