The reflecting room (lyrics about a kafkaesque rebirth)
Hi steemers. For my first post, let me introduce myself with a poem, actually a slightly rewritten song I wrote younger, describing my kind of kafkaesque rebirth.
He crept at last into the last room opened
Deeply exhausted, he kept himself hidden
In a petrified cage
He'll stay there a day
A long aisle was all he remembered
Too many doors at the end of a circle
Maybe an endless way
With no exit gate…?
But in this final space something was different
Walls of mirrors reflected the end
Under the royal stage
There, the Prince would wait
To recognize himself as the infinite image
Aiming towards the fleeting horizons
At each corners of the cage:
Light did come in that way
He saw a little crack in the wall
That suddenly exploded, the bricks broke down
He could escape from the court
Open his wings and feel the sound
The first thought he had in his brand-new freedom
Was for the one he'd so often dreamt of
He would join her today
And sleep with the grace
