Daily poetry : waking up the street
The night you came around
You kept
Knocking knocking knocking
On my door
I begged you to leave
And not wake up my street
But you kept
Banging banging banging
On my door
Since you cared not one
If you woke up the street
I opened my heart
And let you in
You walked in
With dirty limbs
You soiled my floor
And smeared my walls
I should not
Have cared
If you woke up
The frigging street
This one made me smile, xlpore. Sometimes the only way to stop a loud knocker is to let them in, I also write poetry. Stop by my blog. Maybe we can support each other.
I'd be sure to follow you
I see you have. I have too. Have a wonderful night. Look forward to more poetry.
