When Normal is Not Normal
Imagine a world
Where the weird stuff is normal
Where fun stuff is stiff,
And where stiff stuff's informal
Where we join the queue
At the front of the line
Where we curse loud in public
And it's perfectly fine
Where we scold our children
If they don't pick their noses
Where we spend excess energy
On snoozes and dozes
Imagine a world
Where we dare to buck trends
Where we're each our own person
Where no one condescends
Imagine a world
Where we're gay out the gate
And survival depends
On us 'coming out' straight
Imagine a world
Where our skin doesn't matter
Where race or religion
Are casual chatter
A world where we laugh
Til we see the room spin
Where we laugh for the feeling
And not to fit in
This world I imagine
Would be a strange place to go
But the world we're in now
Is the strangest I know

Sure :)
Its hard to imagine the stuff that does go on here and now....let alone something else. :)
Precisely, Atopy!
Love. :)
Hehehe
In a world that's already upside down and inside out... this actually sounds sort of refreshing, and more like I world I'd be comfortable in... thanks!
P.S.: Found you via @ocd.
Oh how nice :) thanks very much. Yes a world full of weird stuff but acceptance would be far better than a normal world full of anger and judgement
Glad OCD reposted this.
Awesome poem, the world is a mirror.
Mirrors reveal some interesting things :)
