Gracious Gale

Who can avoid the Gracious Gale,
That stings prideful skin to tear,
When their right and good do fail,
Their right and good can ne'er compare,

It wafts the scents of guilt and shame,
Against it the rebels sneeze,
Allergen is admitting blame,
Brought to nose by beauty's breeze,

Oh Gracious Gale crack their hands,
That carry guilt with ease,
Burdened flesh attempts its stands,
Without help and without pleas,

Samaritans from afar are sent,
Healing their flesh and shedding light,
On all their wickedness they rent,
But rebels do enjoy their failing might,

But righteousness the only revealer,
Set against the rebels' aim,
Is shown by their souls' true Healer,
The rebels' cause is lame,

They continue in their strife,
When light shone upon their grave,
Their deadness ne'er gave life,
Nor they desired their soul to save,

Bring again Gracious Gale,
A scent upon their nose,
Place the Spirit to indwell,
A heart of flesh that grows,

Who can avoid the Gracious Gale,
That stings prideful skin to tear,
When their right and good do fail,
Their right and good can ne'er compare,

To Holiness their good are rags,
The rebels' right is wretched wrong,
Redeemed their life saved from crags,
Their soul among Christ's throng.
