National Poetry Month — April 26th

in #poetry8 years ago

Today I am reading Though We Flatter Ourselves As Individuals, There Is Always Another Part That Suspects The Contrary Truth by Bill Holm.

It's funny how people often have preconceived notions about poets, wearing berets and sitting in coffee joints. Bill Holm, born on a farm in northern Minnesota and a bear of a man with Icelandic ancestry, breaks that mold.

Bill Holm published a dozen books of poetry and essays. Among his many honors, he was named a Bush Foundation Arts Fellow (twice) and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow.
