THE ORACLE
Drumsticks to the soundless gongs
Which produces maligned melodies
It sings hymns to the mouthless gods
So to hear our future and destiny
The trees whisper tales of mockery
It berates the kingdom for cleansing itself of sanctity
The orator demands a sacrificial appellant
For the gods have placed it as a determinant to our fate
And no one pleases them with faith
Not even with the smoothest hook and bait.
The gods have turned us over
And it demands total respect
Why does the oracle want respect
From a kingdom uprooted of its values
We see the messengers cry in our village squares.
Saying we are trapped in their wrath's rectangle
This is a consequence of our misplaced virtues
For disobedience, we have made our Blair
What do the gods expect from its worshippers?
When in their might are weaklings and sicklers?
What does the oracle see?
When its eye is full of sinister?
What does the despicable god want?
When all it guarantees is scarcity and uninsurable want?
What does the oracle need
When there's a God that's worthy indeed?

what does the blind gods seek in feeble mortals?
Does he enjoy the sight of the innocent being afflicted?
Or the wind of justice paying homage to the aroma of wealth?
