Outside the Lines - Poetry
It's easy to color between the lines,
A stroke of gold, a splash of bright mosaic blue,
a hint of white,
Blood red crimson,
Or careless drip of emerald dew,
The palette spills a naked truth.
Each color burns uniquely you...
Forms an arc,
Of blended hues.
Linear lines may only hinder,
Braided ropes will tightly bind,
Spilling flesh into the middle
of a consecrated mind.
Tear them loose,
Release them all,
Scribble past the preset lines.
Seize each canvas
From obsurity
Hear their voices
Low and sweet
whispering a cool seduction
Kiss of new possibility.

Lovely and concise. It seemed to progress from tangible, visible colors to the invisible inner hues of possibilites, of imagination...
