This is so true, Ciel <3 What a gorgeous poem, and one that really resonates with me, to be honest!
I've had some people thought that all I do is 'simple sketches' without really understanding that it has taken me years to understand the foundations of art to be able to draw straight onto a piece of paper with an ink pen. Understanding anatomy, perspectives, movements, framing, composition, lighting, shading, poses, .... these things take years and years to cultivate, but ............ all they see is someone drawing a picture with relative 'ease' .... and they think it doesn't take effort.....
The years of cultivating the basics up to a level where it has become relatively manageable to draw naturally is unseen.
A lot of those years are spent demoralized, discouraged, struggling. But they had happened. They had broken a person, and the person had mended, and continued on. And they look resilient and flying, as if gliding through the sky, untouched, but really, they had gone through a lot................ to be born.
