Pearlescent Poems # 52: Eye Contact Part 2 (Original Poem)
Don't try to run which way
We had a black and white warning
Like a pungent spray
Served on a luncheon tray
Diced in an onion fray
Sliced in a hundred ways
"I'm reluctant today
To be alive and given a choice to make difference
I may"
Because I function, today
Stop my repugnant ways
And be incumbent, and weigh
That's been given out and displayed
I pray I'm on the right track
Like a London subway
I hope to find the runway
To heaven
And be a role model for all the people
And not just on Sundays
That's all it ever takes.
...Dissolve the tricks that overtake
And wake up all the others
Chasing fallen feathers
No calling upon appalling fake angels
Dressed in white, playing shapes in snowflakes
For He made us pure in spirit and ever tall
We can all stand together as one
And make a difference in the world, before it truly falls apart
and there's no longer any chance to save another soul,
