"Your First Breath"

From the very day, you first came to this world,
You brought beams of smiles
tons of cheers, and a bunch of delight to the people around you.

You enlightened our unadorned crib
You became the stronghold of our standing homestead
Your existence completed the essence of our very home.

The world may be vast, but don't let this waver you,
Don't falter before anything
Face the Life's challenges without hesitation
We, your parents, are here to back you up
Reach for your goals,
Move forward and claim it.
And as you do, keep your feet planted on the ground
Stay courteous. Remember your roots.

And as you get on in years
Never get tired of your mother's golden life teachings
Bring your father's fortitude in your pocket everywhere you go
Remember, you will always have a home to go back to.

My child,
For the tides of time advances every second,
and the calendar pages turn in a wink of an eye.
Age is catching up with us,
Not only to us, but to our parents.
Hair graying out,
Vitality leaving their once vigor bodies.
As this day approaches, be certain to be by their side.
Let them feel the love and care.
Just like how they have given you the day you drew your first breath.
