Separation is inevitable..
A truth we embraced,
But not without a fragile determination..

Fervour on its own must burn..
I believed ours would last,
Longer than time could keep and fiercer than swords could spurn..

Tugging is a game for two..
And if you hadn't first, I would still be drifting,
Further into me, far away from you..

Tables always turn..
