Gum
Okay, so I am a gum chewer. I am REALLY a gum chewer. I buy my gum in bulk at Sam’s Club, so when one pack is empty, I just reach into the cabinet and grab another. So, when my kids steal my gum…it’s all good! I love that something as simple as gum brings them joy and that in turn, it brings me joy!
I reached in my purse to get a piece of gum.
And what do you think that I found?
A handful of wrappers that weren’t there before,
A sure sign my kids were around.
This little discovery doesn’t bring me down
It actually makes me smile,
Because I’m reminded about my great kids
And that’s always worth my while.
So I will just empty my purse out each day
And remember for years to come,
The joy that those little wrappers convey
Holds more than a piece of gum!
