This Unknowing Path

We express our love with such devotion,
Our lovers often become frightened.
Actions always show so much emotion,
That true intention becomes enlightened.

The thought of spending an eternity with one,
Will always make you second guess this life.
To build a family, with daughter and son,
You may get cold feet when making her wife.

Saying "I do", and "Till death do us part."
Realizing forever is a long time.
By saying those words I gave you my heart,
But forever may cause love to unwind.

Love is scary, and very unknowing.
The trip will be long; make it worth going.
