Summer rainstorm--
The cat gets its water
from the leaking ceiling.

This store--
The windows cracking, still
empty with sunlight

Spring in moonlight--
The river reflecting the stars
scattered in ripples

Pelting rainstorm;
I can only see brake lights
--terrifying

This old creek
tadpoles swim in schools;
nothing has changed.
