The Broken Pots

With the anointed earthen pots
We went to the Universal stream
On our return, Mother looked inside
Saw gold
Gold of the finest quality
"Break these pots",she said
With another set of pots
We went and came back
She looked and saw knowledge
Knowledge of a high degree
" Break these pots", she said
When we came back again
She saw beauty
Beauty of a speechless rank
"Break these pots", she said
On our next return
She saw fame
Fame that stretched far and wide
"Break these pots", she said
On the next return we made
She saw power
Power to fight wars
"Break these pots ",
Finally on this return
She saw wisdom
Wisdom to live
"Keep these pots", she said
"To understand those broken pots."
