elusive
shall i talk about happiness today
how she finds me more and more
swimming in her fragile reach
like a child too shy to look into
the eyes of a stranger
yet curious all the same
yearning for some sign
that i belong
that i am wanted
hoping that her arms will reach out
to hold me in her soft embrace
and never let me go
