He manipulated you taunted you controlled your every moment, still it was never good enough for him.
Be afraid! Don't talk to anyone. You know there'll be consequences if you do. Why did you look at that person? What did he say? The poor man couldn't find his way in the shop but you must be cheating. Not gonna be the last you hear of this. It's but another small tick on the list of shit that'll never go away. Two years apart you grew so strong you learned to love yourself, your freedom. You and your baby were happy in a home filled with peace love harmony and exploration never a dull grey moment. Nothing ever made you cry then, now all there is is tears filling your eyes your heart full with fear and pain. The stuffiness in your voice, you are so restricted being choked to death. You were adamant you'd never go back. You said you'd never go back to him, sadly you have.
Oh! I know it's not really him, he's now long gone from your life. Too distant a memory for reminding you of what you are walking into with the new for round two . Only this time it's not just you. You are entering this new life with two, baby and you.
What are you seeking?
Can it be the honey moon sex where all else pales while you go at it like wild rabbits, he looks in your eyes like you are the only one on earth? You've been looked at like that many times before. It won't last when your heart is destroyed broken so hurt its no longer making love. Sex is now no longer anymore than just another ritualistic chore, a task you perform to keep him from breaking the door to your heart each day that little bit more.

Is it that he holds you at night and for that short brief moment before sex, you feel loved needed wanted appreciated?

A good man won't control you and seclude you from living the outside world. Good men are confident they know no one else can offer you what they do, they set you free knowing you will always be back. They don't want a woman who does not want to be there. You are never left to wonder what the outside world looks like always dreaming a better life.
A good man won't leave your heart empty hollow full of sorrow, it's not your eyes a good man seeks to make wet.

Just callin it how I see it my friend. Men would be wise to realise that it's not worth having someone who doesn't want to be there. They need to pick their game up if they want to be worth something to anyone of worth. Women be wise to realise what real love is before jumping in. A very close friend needed to hear this one and what path they take is their choice. I done my bit. Although this context is written for a women on this occasion. It all goes both ways.
I like the last bit. People always wondering why no one takes their good advice and never notice when they should be giving to themselves and taking their own good advice.

Or people who are afraid of being alone - I've seen that one TOO many times. They'll take any warm body even if that person treats them poorly because they'd rather that then no one. Me, I figure I'd rather be alone and lonely than abused and betrayed.
The world is full of low class guys like that and women who do not love themselves enough to leave, some do leave and end up either going back or finding a new guy exactly the same as the old guy. The percentages of women or men who break free from the cycle are low. Which why when some of them do it is worth a story. There is no love in that scenario you described there in that story. You can not rescue or help someone who does not want to be helped. Yes good men are confident. You got it. Great story. Move on. xx
