The Struggle - An Original Poem
Getting tougher everyday
We gotta keep pushing
We cannot stray
Money is tight
Hardly enough for a meal
But never give up
Don't ever be still
Working multiple jobs
Very little pay
We're in the poor house
But we're not gonna stay
Keep busting your ass
That hard work will pay off
Forward we move
We're cut from a different cloth
The winter is harsh
Unforgiving and cold
We will be rich
Bathing in gold
If you've never experienced it
You'd think it a myth
But we struggle daily
Its not easy to live with
But we hope for better
Working toward our prize
But no matter how rich
You'll always see the struggle in our eyes
