THERE IS A MONSTER IN ME- A POEM
Image from Poetryfoundation.org
There is a monster in me, a monster in all of you.
Faceless yet terrific, shapeless yet firecesome.
It comes and go without announcement nor notice, it appears anytime irrespective of time, date and condition.
An enemy from the begining of time, and to some a friend, companion.
Immortal and dominable, yet an adversary of old and present days.
No one is free of you, oh fearsome monster. Only the sucklings and the unborn are free of you.
A monster in the dry and in the cold.
How do we conquer this age old monster?
Anxiety is this Monster, the fear of the "yet to come".
Which had killed thousands and saved hundreds; both old and young.
NO BODY IS FREE OF THIS MONSTER!
This is so nice dear friend, you got me in the end. I was thinking fear...
