Sometimes she envies the dead.  As much as she fears death.

She yearns for peace.. some quiet. Her soul been starving such diets.

Due to the undying storms within. The chaos she has locked in.

Society trials she's been through.  Hugging pillows has always been her glue.

She displays a radiant smile through the day. Knowing her pillow will sing her a lullaby.

Mask down and away from the public eye... Then she drops the lie.

Adorns on her demons.  Reaches for a drink and lemons.

One gulp and an empty glass.

What a worthless lass.

Heads to the kitchen and appetite disappears. Takes a shower overthinking about her years.

Darkness outweighs her light.  Her being is shrouded by fright.

Robbing her of some well deserved rest. Clinging on her soul like a pest.

Voices of what she ain't yet sprout.

Sowing some disgusting thoughts on self.

Salty drops hit her pillow. Her heart feeling like it weighs some kilos.

She sobs over haunting ghosts. Hugging her pillow like a soul she lost.

She rocks herself to sleep. But her soul continues to weep.

Sometimes.

I usually pen my own demons. This piece is such work.
