Gutless - A Freewrite Poem
The feeling is loud
My ego may be proud
But the fact of the matter
Is a huge factor
In confessing that what I am
Doesn't come close to who I am.
I seem to exude strength
Like I could go to any length
But I am gutless
Lost in my mind and homeless
Nothing I speak don't I doubt
Learning to cope without.
But I will bleed here
Until the fog clears
On this screen page
They can't really gauge
The pain of living with fear
The agony of looking at the rear.
If I find the courage
To free my tongue of this rage
Liberation will take place
With change camping on my face
I will reach the clueless
And explain that I am gutless.
