Thankful for what I am given,
Every breath a miracle to me,
Can't you sense the magic and wonder,
Having been blessed and born free?
Some moments are hard to survive,
Leaving you empty and cold,
Understand why they are there,
Thank life for the lessons they hold.

This is my first stab at a poetry challenge on steemit. The challenge: Your challenge is to use your Steemit username to create an Acrostic - poems where the first letter in each line start a sentence.

Nice poem actually. Your first attempt seems very natural and not forced at all. I like the theme of gratitude of life and understanding the moments of adversity that life may throw at us at any given time. If we don't persevere, it'll consume us to the point of no return. So yes, your profound statement that we must appreciate the hard lessons we can learn from these, at times relentless, moments, will in the long run thicken our skin and sharpen our mental and emotional fortitude for the future as we grow in the present.
