as you are
your reflection
and mine
merged
into one face
in the
broken mirror
on the bathroom wall
where we both ran
to escape
from each other
and the words
we hurled
across
time and space
and the plates
we shattered
and the knives
we drew
against our flesh
and stained
the edges
red
