Limitless,
I started walking with no set direction, no set pace.
And then came the tears,
Strength pouring out of me like mercury.
An ocean of uncharted avenues.
Fear,sadness,glee,apprehension,memories old & new.
And then came this tiredness of heart & soul,
This stillness that bares no name.
Is it anguish, is it relief, is it desperation? No.
This wave that graces the night, indigo that snatches at my fevered mind & runs a river to a rapid raging.
My soul is decrepit & optimistic, my heart tangled & hungry.
I don't know these tears.
I don't know this fear.
Ah,I'm just a lost soul,
Looking for a destination.
If I looked at myself, relief would come - but for how long?
How long before the memories come & strength alludes me & I am weak?
How long before my mind races, & I need a little something to help me sleep?
More passion,
More memories,
More desolation,
Always more!
"Come away from the ledge" you say,
Why not leap right off?
"Wait for me, I'll see you again"
Why not take me with you?
So many secrets, even more regrets,
It doesn't matter now.
I'll just walk it off,
No set direction, no set pace.
Unlimited.
