Shining Spirits

Sitting on the patio
dining in the night air
watching the luminescent bugs
dancing with a flair

Dancing in the night
illuminating the trees
creating artistic features
happy just to be

Mind wandering to the spirit
can it illuminate to those around
spreading joy and kindness
or is it world bound

Living in the moment
sharing life with family and friends
helping one another
the joy does not end

Kindness to strangers
helping a greater cause
making a difference locally
taking time to pause

Our spirits are luminescent
when giving of ourselves
making a small difference
helps others to be well
