Flabbergasted: A Bayou Morning

Observing the bayou
flabbergasted by the beauty of the day
mist over the water
as a duck makes its way

Slow ripples in the water
as the wind blows
picturesque as a painting
the ripples have a glow

The grass begins to sway
featuring colors of yellow and gold
filtered sun makes them shine
it is bold

A kayak enters the bayou
hoping to catch some rays
slowly paddling
taking in the day

Another water bird
waddling in the banks
searching for food
bayou is a fish tank

The mist burns off
as the sun filters through
another beautiful morning
as life is renewed
