Daydreaming At Work (Original Poem)
I don't want to live a lie,
but for you I have to try.
In an office nine 'til five,
everyday, a suit and tie.
It's all so damn repetetive,
sick, mislead, competetive,
groundhog day, a sedative.
Maybe I'm just negative.
Racing through the daily grind,
I feel I've left some things behind.
Looking back, I'll just lose time.
People and loved ones are flying by.
I wish that there was more to this.
I still daydream to feel her kiss,
a time when I won't feel so blue.
I'm still waiting for you.
