নয় কি সময় ভালো
দুঃখ কেন করিস
কান্না পেলে বৃষ্টি হয়ে ঝরিস।
ও বাতাস, অস্থির এলোমেলো
কি এক বার্তা যেন এলো
করছিস নীরবে ফিসফাস
লিখতে নতুন ইতিহাস।
চাঁদ, তুই ঢাকিস কেন মুখ
হারিয়ে সুখ, হাসি
নিভিয়ে পড়া; জ্যোৎস্না আলোয়
গেয়ে যা দিন বদলের গীতি।

আনতে শত পদ্ম,
মনের কথা গুছিয়ে লিখতে
পারি না, শব্দে অজ্ঞ!
ইচ্ছে করে তোমার সাথে
একটা বিকেল কিংবা,
মধ্য দুপুর কাটিয়ে দেব
চাইছি বেশি কি'বা!
ইচ্ছে করে তোমায় নিয়ে
হাজার ভিড়ের মাঝে,
হাতটা ধরে যাই এগিয়ে
সকাল এবং সাঁঝে।
