Running the Clock Down
It's another day, another morning , another night...
My procrastinating self, enjoying the present time,
Planning and plotting things which will not realize,
I sit here wondering why?
Why does the important seem the least important?
Why does vividness of the unimportant seem so fine?
Why does the fun element always seem on the wrong side?
Why does my mind not freaking prioritize?
I hope I will attain something in a while,
But isn't this also some theoretical nonsense yet to be defined?
Even if it-I feel happy to just plan it out,
'Cause those who fail to plan- plan to be deprived
I don't know what will ignite my efforts,
I wish that ignition comes from the right time,
'Cause I'm afraid to face the dark side,
Especially with all the expectations around your side.
Dear, oh dear, my procrastinating mind,
Start now 'cause it's just about time.

This is a great poem! I don't know if you actually meant to put the sentences like that but it worked really well! I love the rhythm it gives, and the flow. Well done, I love this poem!! And kudos for writing about something good and important that we all struggle with: the fight with ourselves. Procrastination. Where does it come from? Why do we experience it? Well done!!!
