"Banished butterfly" [poem]
Descend from heaven of your mouth
to the infernal heat of your chamber
it requires a charm…
does not fall vertiginously into the abyss
as an angel banished from the land of God;
rather it descends slowly and gracefully
as a butterfly without fears.
She flutters between the mountains and plains;
her soul just like Lilith's at the moment
decided to banish herself
to taste the seed of a delicious flower.
Wow, beautiful poem. The last bit reminds me of Persephone who Hades dragged down to hell to spend the rest of her life, keeping her by having her eat a fruit from hell. The number of seeds she consumed marked the number of months she stayed with him in a year. Great job :)
