Lost
They drift in the stream
Under cloudy
Grey thoughts that hover
Abovewithered-feather

Forgotten
Fleeting
Memories, hopes, and dreams
They are whispers in the cool
Autumn air

A chill screams in the breeze
They are lifted and tossed
Around
Undignified
Treated like they have been
Their entire lives

Dancing solemnly
Through slow raindrops
Trickling down around them
They drift in the stream

Never again to be found
