Who said words don't hurt?
Thick and dark clouds form inside me
Darker they become with each passing second
Sorrow and pain is all I feel
Almost as soon as I remember the words I begun to stiffen
I've heard words being spoken
And they have left me broken
Tears wet the collar of my shirt
As I remembered the words said
I try to forget and remain strong
Behind this carefully built facade
Is a girl with a broken heart
That is hurting too bad
Such that it may never mend
The clouds inside me are becoming unstable
The tears are threatening to fall as rain
But before I lose my facade
I'll keep on smiling
Until that day
When I'll find respite
I'll keep my broken pieces of a heart safe.
Sala Jacklyn
Stay strong.
Thanks very much dear
