The Road to Utopia

There is a place full of light and love
Where pain and death leaves not a trace
Many journey to find this prize
Guided by God’s loving grace

But on this path there are many trials
That a soul must face and endure
And many fall and lose their faith
Searching so hard for the cure

But others find their strength and power
Forged in the fire of these tests
Burning away their imperfections
And revealing the side of them that’s best

There is no time to falter or turn back
Once the choice has been made
To doubt or second guess your path
Will no doubt cause your light to fade

So walk along standing in your truth
And take heart when life gets hard
It’s an opportunity for you to grow and learn
Revealing the baggage you must discard

I promise the burden will not be more
Than your back and shoulders can handle
And if you ever should stumble or fall
God will be right there to take the mantle

And when the journey is complete
You will look back in peace and pride
Knowing that you’ve come so very far
With the One who was ever by your side

There is one thing to remember
On this path to the future bright
Paradise is what we make together
On this long journey we call life
