Serenity’s Nest
Serenity’s Nest
In the quietude of twilight's gentle sigh,
Where shadows dance and soft whispers lie,
There, in the hush, a tranquil heart doth rest,
Cradled in the Almighty's tender breast.
Seek not in fervent chase nor weary quest,
For happiness, a fleeting, fickle guest.
It blooms not in the soil of desperate pleas,
But in the soul at ease, in silent seas.
'Tis not a prize from arduous journeys won,
Nor a destination where we might run.
It springs like dawn, unbidden, yet so bright,
From hearts that dwell in God's own loving light.
Happiness, a state of mind, serene and kind,
A gentle calm that in oneself we find.
It whispers soft, 'midst turmoil and life's din,
A quiet truth that dwells deep within.
So let the heart, untroubled, find its peace,
In divine hands, all frantic searching cease.
For happiness, a sparrow free and bold,
Nests within the spirit's quiet fold.
“Happiness isn’t a goal or destination. It need not be chased or pursued. It is simply a state of mind that springs from a tranquil heart, resting in the loving hands of God.”
