Oh pattern of patterns
Repeat repetition
Over the overture
Omit the unknown
Like the ready road
Catches steps and turns
The pattern, so able
Can be predicted
It presses the eye
In a gel disguise
It can slip away
Like the rounded day
It can fade to death
And still we know
The truth of the pattern
Is now one with our soul
